Yes, I had read that and was looking for that date yesterday and hadn't
found it. I know it is an extended date, but thought it was a little later
than that, so Thanks. I was all ready to do SP3 from the beginning, but
there was that bugaboo about the AMD processor (which I have) but by the
time I found it only had to do with a couple of OEM computers, the support
time had run out. This time, I notice most of the help material to install
SP3 is more organized - less cluttered.
Maybe by the time XP, itself runs out, Windows 7 and all our peripherals and
drivers will all match.
You folks who spend your time helping us are to be commended.

: One more reference for you: Extended Support for WinXP SP2 ends on 10 July
: 2010. After that date, computers running WinXP SP2 will NOT be offered any
: further critical security updates, Automatic Updates will not work, and
: Windows Update website will not be accessible until SP3 is installed.
