There's a Microsoft "fix" answering a post from 2019 about installation of the HEIF and HEVC media extensions app. According to the responses to Microsoft's "fix,", the problem was not, and apparently never has been, solved.I was trying to download images and videos from my iPhone to my Windows 10 Asus Zen Book but was told I needed those extensions. I had not seen the referenced 2019 posts and at that time had no reason to search. Rather, I dutifully went to the Microsoft app store, spent my 99 cents. couldn't (and can't) download or install the app, apparently suffering the same problem
