My laptop has a built in microphone inside of it. Whenever I plug my headset in, it overrides it. There's no separate options for my headset or laptop mic, it has only one. I've tried reinstalling my audio driver, and it reinstalled an OLDER version of it. This isn't a problem on my other laptop, as it's able to separate my headset mic and built in laptop mic. I've exhausted most of my options relating to tweaking settings in the sound panel, and the new realtek audio manager (now called realtek audio console) has NO configuration settings at all.
