Headphones not working when I plug them in on windows 11

Hello I have a pair of headphones which I plugged into the 3.5mm headphone jack on my laptop, but it didn't play audio from my headphones, instead, it played from my speaker. I checked that I was connected to the headphones many times and tried restarting, but nothing worked. Please help. Thanks.
