I recently bought an OLED monitor [ASUS ROG Swift PG48UQ] and wanted to turn on HDR. The problem is: my option is switched to reality, so either i turn it ON, which makes windows itsself use HDR, but not any other program (i don't even have the HDR option) and funnily enough, cannot even change HDR stuff on the Monitor, or i turn it OFF, so i can enable HDR on any Programm (e.g. games) (and monitor), but windows will NOT pass HDR to the Monitor.
