Hi All,

I am trying to re-purpose my Kinect V.2 as a web camera for my PC. I purchased an adapter and attempted to set it up. Now I did erroneously plug in the kinect prior to downloading the software, so hopefully that didn't cause my issues.

Since, I have downloaded and installed the software needed and have the kinect studio 2.0 and the SDK Browser 2.0. I then plugged in my Kinect and I get a USB device not recognized alert. sometimes it will appear on the device manager briefly - I tried to update drivers there, but it isn't recognized yet and never names itself as the kinect sensor.

Now, I was able to get the sensor to work easily and correctly with my wifes laptop running Windows 10, even though the config verfier wasn't sure about the usb port on her laptop

Back to my PC, I have an older motherboard with lots of USB ports all 3.0 and some powered and sata and some not. I've tried all of them and get the same result. The config verifier (screen shot below) says that I have compatible usb controllers, I'm still thinking that my issues is with USB connection.

I have a Gigabyte GA-z68X-UD5-B3 motherboard.

Any suggestions would really help. I appreciate it! as the username implies... I'm wayneovermyhead
