Get error message when trying to play home video through Windows Media Player Legacy

I keep trying to play stored home videos that I created as far back as 2014 but it says windows media player legacy cannot play them. How can I get them to play? I get this message:The selected file has an extension (.wlmp) that is not recognized by windows media player legacy but the Player may still be able to play it. Because the extension is unknown by the Player, be sure the file comes from trustworthy sourceI tried several times to paste the error message, but it would not paste, so I wrote it out for youI have Dell Inspiron 15 with windows 11Can you help?ThanksTess
