I can usually resolve problems on Flight Sim X but this one has me beat. I've tried all I know but can't resolve an annoying problem.
I have a PC dedicated to Flight Simulator X SP2. Intel i7 4770K running at 4.4GHz, 8Gb RAM, Nvidia GTX 780 3Gb card. OS is W7 SP1.
There are occasions I need to press keyboard buttons to execute certain commands. When I do although the command is executed the PC emits a beep that is associated with the default beep in Windows.
This does not happen all the time but it always happens in every flight. I might go 10 minutes when everything is all right and then out of the blue it starts. It's similar to when you think a program has the focus and you press a key but because it hasn't you get the beep. But if the command is executed then logically FSX does have the focus. So why the beep?
The only way I can resolve it is to minimise FSX to the Taskbar and then restore it. Doing that always resolves the problem. But it's annoying to have to keep doing it during every flight.
I have tried the following:-
I've exhausted all possibilities. I've posted on FS forums but no-one has replied so it doesn't appear to be a common problem. Can you help at all? You are my last hope.

I have tried the following:-
- Run a program to show what program has the focus but it never shows another program as taking the focus away from FSX.
- Run Process Monitor to see if another program / service is taking the focus away from FSX. The only one is a service named SearchIndexer but even after that stops and restarts it doesn't cause the 'loss of focus'.
- I've switched keyboards from wireless to wired but that didn't help either.
I've exhausted all possibilities. I've posted on FS forums but no-one has replied so it doesn't appear to be a common problem. Can you help at all? You are my last hope.
