We are currently using Exchange 2013 and Office 2016.
We are experiencing an issue when people save draft emails to their Drafts folder. If the user has changed who the email is coming From then on some emails Outlook is displaying a distinguished name rather than the email address. For example it is displaying /O=INNESSCO HOSTING/OU=EXCHANGE ADMINISTRATIVE GROUP (FYDIBOHF23SPDLT)/CN=RECIPIENTS/CN=C01F4D67AF6E4FEC8935FDF385D6E9C1-INNESSC rather than test@innessco.com.
We have viewed the email in Outlook Web App and it is doing the same thing.
We think we can reproduce the problem with the following steps:
1. Create new email, set From and save to Drafts folder
2. Open email from drafts folders, change who the email is being sent From
3. View draft email in Outlook Web App - the From Field displays the distinguished name
4. View the email in Outlook 2016 - the From Field displays the distinguished name
We have tried the following to resolve this error:
1. Ensured that Outlook 2016 is in online mode
2. Re-created the Outlook 2016 profile
3. Checked that the user has permission to send on behalf of the two different user accounts selected
If you have any suggestions on how to resolve this issue it would be appreciated.
Thanks
David
