Freezes every x hours / minutes with unknown cause.

Hi, the last couple of months / weeks, I am having some weird issues with my pc. I don't know what the cause of it is, but sometimes my pc just becomes very slow / freezes (typing & mouse moving stops) for a couple of seconds and then recovers. I would love to say: "I have tried these x things" but I just don't know how I would go about diagnosing this issue. Does someone maybe know what I can look at / try?(I have tried to see if there are any weird processes running, but I don't really know what to look for to be honest.)
