Forgot my widows 10 logon password and cannot access my desktop.

I forgot my log on password so I am unable to access my desktop PC. I created a password reset disk but when I click on the "reset password" (from the logon screen) to use the Password Reset Wizard, I continue to get an error message, which states... "an error occurred while the wizard was attempting to set the password for this user account". It does not tell me the error, so how can I correct this and access my computer?I have followed many suggestions.
