Fn + F8 works, but doesnt perform its assigned function.

Laptop: MSI Delta 15 A5EFKall the function keys work, except for the Fn+F8 function, which is supposed to be the keyboard backlight button. in short: the backlight function doesnt activate when pressed.What I tried/checked:drivers are up to date,function key does work with F8 (tested on Ratatype, F8 works and recognizes and input from Fn + F8),checked with function lock on and off.checked UEFI for anything regarding buttons.my thoughts: the backlight function is "unassigned" to the Fn + F8 button press.I would like some help to fix it.Thanks in advance!
