Firewall disabled

I recently uninstalled the Norton 360 AV suite I'd been using for a couple of years in favor of another AV software. I soon get a notification from Windows security that the firewall services are inactive. I checked and saw that both Windows firewall and the new AV firewall are inactive. I cannot see any option to start the windows firewall. I try to turn on the new AV's own firewall in its settings but its option is greyed out. I run the firewall diagnostic tool and it tells me that firewall cannot be enabled because I'm already using 'Norton security ultra firewall' and I have to uninstall t
