Im running Vista and IE8. Every time I try to move a file from one folder to

another "Windows Explorer has encountered a problem and will shut down" Does

anyone know how to recify this problem? Thanks

Hi Onky,

Start>Control Panel>Internet Options - Advanced tab, uncheck "Enable

third-party browser extensions". Restart either/both Internet Explorer and

Windows Explorer.

Did you upgrade from XP to Vista? If so was this recently?

This will disable toolbar and browser helpers for both Internet Explorer and

Windows Explorer.

To find out which addon is causing the problem go Start>Control

Panel>Problem Reports and Solutions.

If you like copy and paste the Problem Report back to us and we may be able

to help you identify which Addon is causing the issue.

Regards.

Hi again,

Probably one of your 'Desktop Search' Addons is causing the problem. Is

Google Desktop Search Installed?

Regards.
