Fast User Switching disappeared after 14 August 2024 update

Since 14 August 2024, following the 2024-08 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 23H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5041585), the option for fast switching between users has disappeared from the Start menu. Instead, the option is hidden beneath several layers of options which confused my wife no end. Why did this change and how do I reenable? I have checked online, and followed the advice to disable the HideFastUserSwitching key in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\SystemThe above registry change had no effect.
