I would like the laptop to serve time and date from the CMOS clock to a Linear Telephone Entry device. This is a local network, no Internet.
Here are the laptop and device configurations:
Laptop static IP address = 192.168.0.149 running Windows 10 Home Version 1903
Linux device static IP address = 192.168.0.250, Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0, Gateway 192.168.0.1, DNS Server 1 192.168.0.250
(also tried 192.168.0.149)
Laptop communicates with device using web interface over Ethernet patch cable
Device configured for NTP Server Synchronization, Server Address 192.168.0.149
Laptop does not supply date & time to device (11-Nov-2019 after power applied to device)
Laptop can ping device:
C:\Users\User>ping 192.168.0.250
Pinging 192.168.0.250 with 32 bytes of data:
Reply from 192.168.0.250: bytes=32 time=1ms TTL=64
Reply from 192.168.0.250: bytes=32 time=1ms TTL=64
Reply from 192.168.0.250: bytes=32 time=1ms TTL=64
Reply from 192.168.0.250: bytes=32 time=1ms TTL=64
Ping statistics for 192.168.0.250:
Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
Minimum = 1ms, Maximum = 1ms, Average = 1ms
Have attempted to set up laptop as NTP sever by starting time service and making a registry edit:
C:\WINDOWS\system32>w32tm /query /configuration
