Hi,
I few weeks ago I signed a catalog file of a driver that my company needs to install to communicate to a machine. The driver fails to install when attempting to install it using a inf file. The error is: "The hash for the file is not present in the specified catalog file. The file is likely corrupt or the vitim of tampering"
We discovered a workaround to install it. The driver can install fine if we turn off the integrity checks. (using bcdedit /set TESTSIGNING OFF)
But we want to know why the driver can't install without turning the enforcement off. We contacted the EV Code Signing certificate company and submitted our drivers to them and they told us the signature is fine and they wanted us to ask Microsoft.
Please help. Thank you.
