Every month once or more times indexing is collapsing

On one of the computer I have Outlook pst files. From some reason very often Instant Search Catalogue is rebuilding from 0. Which take 1 and half day. Size of files:

• 27 603 MB
• 16 500 MB
• 7 800 MB
• 2 000 MB

Is it possible to fix this behaviour or backup and restore index files?
