Error when trying to install patch KB975021

Error message "The expected version of the product was not found on the

system" comes up when trying to install this fix KB975021 because my

powerpoint keeps crashing when working with charts. I tried reinstalling

office 2007, then tried installing the patch but the error still comes up. I

am running XP sp2 Office 2007 pro plus. Any help would be appreciated.

If you have Compatibility Pack in Add/Remove Programs, try uninstalling and then reapply the patch.
