Error status 0xc000012f

When I try to open any Microsoft Office file I get the error message "____ is either not design to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor for support. Error status 0xc000012f". Following the advice on this forum I've then intsalled the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable files and restarting my computer, but nothing changes and the error code keeps appearing. I can't seem to uninstall any Microsoft products as they are under "Default Apps". What can I do to
