Error Report with Questions
Earlier today I was working in FrontPage web on a CD and FP has always asked
me if I want to make FrontPage the default browser...and I said yes.
This evening I was taking a check of my other three browsers, only one at a
time, Chrome, Firefox and Explorer, but *none of them asked me* if I wanted
to change to (browser1) (browser2) (browser3) default.
Chrome first. Then Firefox, and it opened with an update right then.
The third one was Internet Explorer 7. While I was using it the computer
restarted and I got the Microsoft Windows "The system has recovered from a
serious error."
(While the computer was restarting, I had forgotten to take out the CD; I
could hear it start up while the computer was loading, so I ejected it and
closed the CD tray.)
...................................
I sent the Error Report
And got the response: Blue Screen Error caused by a device or driver (with
instructions).

The following files will be included in this error report.
C:\DOCUME~1\darlene\LOCALS~1\Temp\WER966f.dir00\Mini021010-01.dmp
C:\DOCUME~1\darlene\LOCALS~1\Temp\WER966f.dir00\sysdata.xml
...................
Before I do anything,
(1) is it at all possible that removing the CD from the CD tray while the
computer was loading really have been the problem?
(2) Could it have been that the browsers got mixed up?
(3) With recent Windows Updates, did Windows decide that asking the
question about the default browser was not necessary?
(4) Could the Firefox update cause the problem?
There are so many weird things that can happen in Windows, I thought someone
else might have heard of one of these problems.
