Error emailing docs as attachments from Office and other Windows applications

In Office Word, Excel and other apps, when I try: File >Share>Email>Send as attachment, I get an error message: "There is no email program associated to perform the requested action. Please install an email program, or if one is already installed, create an association in the Default Programs control panel.", even though I have Outlook installed and working fine and the default program association is configured to use Outlook for emails. The same error occurs when using "Send To" option from Windows Explorer. This error just emerged few days ago.I'm using Windows 11 (Version 23H2 Bui
