Users get the following error when trying to access a web page on one of our

servers.

Error Code: 502 Proxy Error. The ISA Server denied the specified Uniform

Resource Locator (URL). (12202)

The server has an address on a 10.25.0.0 subnet.

There is a DNS A record for the server.

Most users have IE6 SP2.

An ISA server is configured in LAN Settings.

In LAN Settings - Advanced, I have created an Exception as 10.25.*.*

Therefore, with the exception, I don't understand is why IE is trying to go

through the ISA anyway.

If 'Automatically detect settings' is checked, users get the web page. I

don't want to check this.

I have no issues with any other intranet pages.

If someone can explain this, it would be appreciated.

Regards,

Mike.

I think you should be asking your server operator.

After all, it is where the error message originates.

Otherwise trace it, e.g. with WireShark.

Good luck
