I have an Epson ES-400 II Scanner that only runs with Epson ScanSmart Software. The last time I used the ScanSmart software was the night before my computer updated to 2023-08 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5029263) and 2023-08 Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8.1 for Windows 11, version 22H2 for x64 (KB5028948) on 8/11/2023. The ScanSmart Software ran with no issues. Now it is the next day and when I attempt to launch the ScanSmart software it will not open at all. I There are no error messages it just wont open.
