ELAN WBF (Fingerprint) Sensor Issue on Lenovo Thinkbook 16 g6

I was facing an awful load of errors on my brand new factory installed Lenovo Thinkbook 16 G6 fingerprint sensor not working after long time asleep and then waking. It worked many times but after waking up it would stop working randomly. It especially did not seem to work after sleeping a lot. I tried to fiddle the powercfg configuration but that did not help.
