Ok, so here is the issue. I have been using Windows 10 since the fall of 2015. I am living on a rural property so I can only use a hub service here. Its actually got better speeds than my previous fiber service!? Now the heart attack I've been dealing with. Edge is using huge amounts of gbs!! And I have a monthly limit, go over and its your first born child. I have spent months working with the tech support and two investigations have narrowed it down to my Edge being used. I mean 15.85 gbs in 60 hours! I only use this laptop for work, and therefore NO third party sites. AT ALL. It would pose a risk to my businesses. And there are no other active sources of data consumption. Now I have stripped down all data services down to what technically should be a max of 30 gbs a month. But Edge still eats away large amounts, even when I use Chrome, and don't even open Edge but it shows that it is using data.

The bottom line Microsoft. I have validation from a major service provider that this is the issue. I can track the data usage in the task manager. And there it is, without question. What it has cost me, $300-$400 a month in overages. Nine months now.

I want a direct answer to this issue. I have read posts not only on this site but many many more sites. The provider also identified this as a common culprit for heavy data usage. This is an issue, and for someone like me. This has cost me a lot of money. I want you to explain how to disable any Edge activity without question, and do not provide some convoluted "non-answer".
