E, D, C, 4, 5 and F5 keys aren't working in my laptop.

I'm pretty sure this is related to some update I did recently because it happened to me years ago and I was able to fix the issue (not sure how though). When I start my laptop, they work just fine but after a few minutes, they stop working and I have to use the alt+number to write those letters and as you can imagine is pretty annoying. I've seen suggested to uninstall the keyboard driver and re-install it but my fear is that it won't find it and I will be left with a laptop without a keyboard.
