duplicate music files

In the past 3 weeks duplicate music files have been appearing in my music library, random filename, same title, description, album etc. but no 5th tab (digital signature). And they can't be deleted, moved or edited. They seem to like company. They gather in the public music folder and gradually relocate the originals into the public music folder alongside them. Any suggestions would be very welcome, thank you.
