I have an approx. 2-3 year old Lenovo C940 that came with Windows 10 and Optane memory management system. Optane uses an Rapid Storage Technology driver (RST) which, according to my reading, is not compatible with Linux operating systems. While setting up the computer to dual boot Windows and a Linux distribution, I got a message that in order for it to work, I needed to disable Optane in the BIOS, which I did and it all seemed to work out ok; both systems boot and operate as they should.
