I recently switched from a wireless connection to a wired one on my Windows 11 PC, using a cat 5e ethernet cable connected to a gigabit compatible router. My download speed when running speed test is consistently 850-900Mbps, around 100 mb/s. Yet when I actually download something, my speed never goes above 50-55 mb/s, and it takes a very long time to get there. It's almost like my download speed is being throttled by something even though it shouldn't be.
