Does Windows 11 delete all Downloads from previous years?

My Windows 11 Downloads folder has a category called "Earlier This Year." There is no way to access Downloads from 2021 and earlier. My Windows 10 computer has a category called "A Long Time Ago," where files from previous years can be found. Is this a new feature in Windows 11? Are all previous years' files deleted? I do not have "Storage Sense" enabled.
