Does Windows 11 activation releases when switch microsoft account to local account?

I'm currently using Windows 11 at my own PC and want to setup openSSH server. I tried with Microsoft account but found out that cannot be done natively with it. According to this question's answer, it only can be done with local account currently.(Redirecting) So I was looking for converting my account to local one on my PC, but the message said the Windows activation could be released when switched to local.
