Does Microsoft actually employ humans? How can support provide support when everything is automated?

Ok, so this is the most aggravating "Support" experience I have ever had. Trying to contact the support team is tantamount to finding the Lost City of Atlantis. Everything in the carefully crafted support network is conditionally formatted for automation. If an issue that you are experiencing falls outside of that conditional formatting you are simply out of luck. I cannot express my frustration properly with this system and the lack of any care for customers/users of Microsoft products. The online support system is frustratingly circular in it's method, and the same goes for the 1-800 number
