Does Increasing VRAM Slowing Down Laptop?

my acer nitro 5 AN515-53 was frame dropping 50-70 frames every 5 seconds, I googled how to fix it, on Microsoft's official site it told me to change my vram amount. so i went into settings > about > advanced system settings > advanced > performance > advanced. then I saw "Virtual Memory" I clicked "change" and unchecked "automatically manage paging file size for all drives" the site said change the Initial size to 1.5x 4096 MB (6144MB), so I Did that. Next, it told me to change the Maximum size to 3x 4096 MB (12288MB), So I Also Did That. Then I Clicked
