Do I really have to turn off Kernel Mode Hardware Enforced Stack Protection to play a game?

I use my computer exclusively for gaming, I have multiple games that use Easy Anti Cheat and I have zero issues at all however, there are other games that will not open and I get a launch error message saying: Error Code:30005 (StartService EasyAntiCheat_EOSSys failed with 1275.) Then a windows message saying I can turn off Kernel Mode Hardware Enforced Stack Protection for this application to work (but is not recommended) Is this really my only option? I am very hesitant to downgrade the security of my pc in order to play a video game but it is quite frustrating to spend money on a game tha
