Display options limited to 1024x768 & 800x600

Last night when I arrived home from work and woke up my computer, the display stopped outputting in full screen. It was normal when I put in my password & it loaded fine, then the screen blacked out momentarily and when it returned it had black bars on the sides.I searched the issue and checked the display settings, where the only options given to me are 1024x768 or 800x600. No other options are showing up at all, even though I know they should be. I am using a Vizio 32" 1080/60hz TV as a monitor, which has been working fine with my PC in 1080 since I got the PC.
