disable shortcut keys in windows 11

How do I disable the shortcut keys in Windows 11? I am simply trying to cut and paste to a Word document, and I get apps opening up that I don't want. It is very frustrating. I use the control key plus V to paste, but when I press the control key other things keep popping up. This doesn't happen on my Windows 10 computers.
