I have disabled Cortana and web search in the past through group policy on Windows Pro (Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Search) or the registry on Windows Home (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > Policies > Microsoft > Windows > Windows Search > AllowCortana = 0). These worked to disable web search from the start menu. Since April/May, these methods have not worked. To reiterate, the options that Microsoft provide that say web search will be disabled, DO NOT WORK to stop Windows web search capability. Also, when I make a child account, Microsoft says that web search will not be enabled for them, but it is still! Any help ASAP would be appreciated.
