Did the Wednesday September 11 2024 Microsoft Authenticator update for Android break the app? Can Microsoft fix it please?

NOTE: This issue is on the Android app for Microsoft Authenticator, but I couldn't find that in the product options so I just selected the closest one to a match.Okay, so this issue involves the biometric sign in feature on the app.I've provided a step-by-step list of the issue that I'm experiencing, described to the best of my ability:1.
