There was another question similar to this in Aug 2020. It was unanswered but is closed (not sure why Microsoft does this)."Device encryption" is normally the third option from the top on the "Privacy & security" screen. It is available on PC's that meet security criteria (drive type, driver, tpm, secure boot , etc.). It simply disappears when the criteria are not met. Microsoft should change this and leave it on the screen and gray it out with a proper message about why it is not available.I have found one unexpected reason why "Device encryption" is there and then suddenly can disapp
