Desktop will not open after reboot--its like it keeps refreshing. I was able to open edge, however, and I'm using it now.

I'm not sure which MS version we have because I can't access. The reboot stops when the desktop opens--the desktop looks like it keep refreshing but just flashes for a moment and then goes black. Then it continues to flash. I am unable to open anything other than the browser. It is a very old laptop, however, so I'm sure its an older version. I only need to stabilize long enough to grab some items from the desktop--then it can go in peace
