Desktop frequently freezes when trying to access through File Explorer

I'm using Win10 Home 22H2. Everything is fully updated.I use Bitdefender AV Plus (fully updated).I try to access the Desktop folder via the File Explorer icon in the Taskbar. When I click on File Explorer, it opens. Then, I click on Desktop under "FrequentFolders." However, all that happens is: Another window opens and, then, freezes; it does not show the contents for Desktop. If I try to access Desktop via the list in the lefthand menu of File Explorer (instead of clicking on the Desktop folder itself), the same thing happens: a window opens and freezes.Could someone, please, tell me: (1
