During regular usage desktop background image and icons will turn black after approximately 5 minutes of the PC being turned on. highlighting an area with outer click will induce a black pixels wherever the highlighted area covers. -maybe related: I find that running SFC /scannow once a week often yields some sort of corruption that ends up being routinely corrected-Temporarily rectified by restarting the 'File Explorer" process via Task Manager.
