Dell laptop w/Win 11

I recently purchased a Dell laptop with Win 11. I got it all set up but a screen showing, "Bitlocker Recovery" has popped up 4 times now requiring me to enter a recovery key, consisting of 8 strings of 8 numbers, which I had to look up in a specified place. Once I copy the numbers and hit "Enter", I have access to my laptop. Luckily, I copied the numbers down the first time, eliminating one step. Any ideas as to why this is a recurring thing? Solar 7
