Dell Inspiron 16 7640 2-in-1 keeps getting stuck in tablet mode

My 2-in-1 laptop ocassionally after using for a long period of time (in onenote usually) does not return back to its normal state on folding the lid back open. It might be something to do with a faulty sensor but it seems to be able to switch between the two modes fine on restarting so it seems something driver related. I have gone through and updated all my Drivers using support assist and Windows update.
