Deleting Volume from original drive

I have swapped my windows boot from Drive C (240gb SSD) to Drive D (1tb SSD). My PC is now booting to my 1tb ssd, I'd like to confirm if it's now safe for me to format or delete volume in Drive C (240 gb)?
