I recently updated to outlook 2016 and found a very weird problem: I delete a folder in outlook (it was imported from my local disk as a pst file, after reading some previous emails in the folder then I no longer need it), then after one second, it reappears and all emails in it also come back in a few seconds.

My outlook uses IMAP protocal, that means after downloading the emails in the mail server, the emails are still stored in the webmail system.

I searched on internet, and it seems many people has encountered this problem, but I didn't find a solution. I spent a lot of time.

Anyway I find some CLUE. I find the folder appears in the webmail system! So strange! I only imported it into my outlook, why does it also appear in the webmail system? Maybe this is the problem. Unfortunately, I have a stupid webmail system, and I have no way to delete the folder in the webmail system. I deleted all emails in it, then I went back to outlook and deleted the folder there. The folder still come back in one second, but the emails in it didn't come back. This is because the folder is still in my webmail system.

Problem is only partially solved. Whenever I import a saved folder on my disk to outlook 2016, it will stay there forever, as well as in my webmail system, though the emails can be deleted by hand. I have never encountered this problem in a previous outlook version (2010 version).

I hope microsoft team could fix this bug soon. I found the earlist report about this problem on interent is in 2017. Two years have passed and it is still unsolved. Thanks a lot.
