Defrag and/or optimization of SSD on HP laptop

[Windows 10]

I am running Windows 10 on my laptop with an SSD. I am not able to run a defrag because Windows is supposed to handle that for me automatically and periodically. However, I get system messages that my computer is performing poorly and needs to a defrag to make it more efficient and optimize storage space, which is getting low. These messages include those from HP, the laptop manufacturer, and from my anti-virus vendor. These messages want me to buy an extra optimizaation product. I am seeking advice on what to do to optimize my hard drive without additional expense. Thank you.
