Default folder icons in Windows 11 - how to change them

I would very much like to change the color / look of the Windows 11 default icons for folders/directories without breaking any other functionality.I'm tech savvy and a designer (sounds unbelievable to most developers, I know...) and looking at %SystemRoot%\SystemResources\imageres.dll.mun it seems logical to me that the folder icons consist of a background icon (imageres.dll.mun,5) the icon/preview of the last added file as 'middle ground' and imageres.dll.mum,6 as foreground.But the background-icon is all dark, and the Icon displayed in explorer has an additional lighter field.Before I try to
