Cut and paste broke after update

Two small updates ago my cut and paste functions were completely decimated and due to my work there is no way to type 256 character long chunks with perfect accuracy. Is there any fix for this other than restarting the computer every single time I need to copy and paste something? so far microsoft employees have just been saying to restart the computer but I can't be restarting my computer every 3 lines of code. Can someon PLEASE tell me how to fix this instead of only telling me to restart the computer or file xplorer ever single time i need to copy and paste something. Ever since that update
